I snapped this picture while visiting a small family business in Naha, Okinawa that specializes in making traditional obi—the silk sash that is worn with the kimono. This is a scan from the original Ektrachrome slide.
This odd juxtaposition of sculptures at the 1905-vintage bottle house at the Rhyolite ghost town caught my eye. Sadly the house has been pretty much destroyed by vandals since this was shot back in the early 1970s although there were plans to restore it. Scan from an original Ektachrome slide.
A minimalist scene shot on not too far from Kitty Hawk on the barrier islands of North Carolina. Shot with a Canon FT SLR. This is a scan from the original Ektrachrome slide.
Obviously a colt having dinner. Probably shot on a farm I visited in Pennslyvania and in 1969 but, like so many of my pictures, the truth about is long since lost.
